But it's a possibility. Atheist groups like the FFRF (Freedom From Religion Foundation) claim to be for the constitution and for human rights. But if they had it their way, they would ban everything "nonsecular". They would get rid of poetry, fairy tales, religious themed clothing, religious TV shows, movies, and music. anything that contradict "reason" or doesn't make religion look bad. They would even discourage imagination.
No, that is not possible. Atheists do not want a sterile universe, and actually they don't really care all that much about religion, until religion starts hurting people, then they complain. Do atheists want the rest of humanity to think like they do? Yes. Just the same as Christians and Muslims, who want everyone to think like they do. That's just basic human nature. But poetry and fairy tales are appreciated just as much by atheists as the religious. John Lennon was not a believer, and he was a poet. JK Rowling writes fairy tales, and Joss Whedon is famous for religion themed shows (Buffy and Serenity) neither of which lack imagination. The FFRF does not want to ban everything that is non-secular, they want religion and government to be separate. So do I, and really, so do you, or would you want to live in a world controlled by Sharia Law?
One Nation Under God, "secular" means neutral with regards to religion. It does not mean anti-religion. Atheists, and theists who care about freedom for all, want religion and government to be kept separate. That is what the FFRF stands for...so that YOUR beliefs doesn't infringe upon MY rights, and so that MY beliefs don't infringe upon YOUR rights.
As for the video, I gave up about a third of the way in. I don't have an attention span for mindless drivel. However, I found it amusing that the narrator states that America is based on God and faith, and that we don't have slaves like communist countries. Um....we had slaves for a pretty darned long time, there, goofball. Even our Founding Fathers owned slaves.
Then why dose it seem like all it takes is for ONE Atheist to cry "WHAAA! There's a war monument with a cross on it!" or "Boohoo! The Public school has a prayer banner! I should sue!" and it becomes a great battle and that one atheist who's the only one offended will win and we who are not offended (yes that includes atheists) can't say anything about it! With all these atheist and religion cases going on I'm surprised the supreme court isn't fed up with it!
Bottom line: If these fundamentalist atheist keep on getting what they want all the time, America will be sterile!
This may not be a majority rule government but it's also not a minority rule government ether! So why can't both the majority and the minority have a chance to say the final word instead of only one or the other!
No offence to your daughter Mr. Ahlquist. AS a christian I don't approve of the insults and threats these so-called "Christians" have sending her. That's unchristian.
All of the standard fallacies without the usual denial of evolution. Odd.
