I got a letter.

It was sent to my home address from a Ms. Janina Balabat. The letter is markeed "confidential" and comes from Burlingame, California. It is addressed "Dear Atheist." If you follow the link, it brings you to  website built to save your soul AND sell you a book.

I think other atheists are getting this letter in the mail as well, which can be pretty unnerving.

This letter is nice in some ways. It's only a little threatening, in that it was sent unsolicited to my home address, but contains no overt death threats, only a warning that I will be ""defeated completely."

IN THE 21ST CENTURY?

Dear Atheist you wrote: Jesus Christ is not alive today. You “pretend” that he is alive today. Jesus Christ died and decomposed, just as all animals do eventually. There are many who believe that the tomb of Jesus Christ has been found. The evidence is strong. Jesus was just an ordinary man. No one will ever bow or confess anything to Jesus. He was a man. He died a long time ago. He was not a son of any god. And he was not of virgin birth. The Christ story in the gospels-virgin birth, resurrection, son of god, etc- is a much older story. Claims of virgin birth were common in that region. Hundreds of them, and most supposedly happened before Christ. The first son of god, born to a virgin, who healed the sick, raised the dead, walked on water, was crucified, three days in the grave, resurrected, Messiah- was Horus, son of the god Ossiris and the virgin Isis, 1500 years before Christ was born. What truly is baffling that Christians don't even recognize where their favorite story was borrowed from. The resurrection story was not unique to Christ. People of the middle east have been claiming "risen Messiah" for nearly 4000 years. And there have been lots of them. Most are forgotten, but that one called Jesus Christ got adopted by the Europeans and is still kept alive. Though l have no idea why. You have never actually talked to Jesus. He is dead and gone, and no longer exists. That conversation only take place in your imagination. Yes, you talked, but Jesus doesn't answer you, because he doesn't exist. All the words you wrote came from you. None came from the dead and long decomposed dead guy named Jesus.

We, human beings, citizens of this planet earth, live today in the 21" century, in the age of information and great knowledge and technology. lf something unusual happened in one country or in one place the entire world immediately knows. News spreads in minutes and all know what has happened. Yes, it is true we know what had happened, but we do not know what will happen, it is also true. We all know and we all agree with this point, that tomorrow’s day is not revealed for us. We do not know what the future holds for each of us. We do not know what is around the corner waiting for us, our family and our loved ones. We do not know what may happen in five minutes from now in our lives. The most wise man on this earth cannot predict what tomorrow will bring to our planet; earthquake, tsunami, wild fire and so on. The most prominent politician cannot predict what will be in the political arena in the near future. The most prominent economist cannot foresee what will happen in the economical world tomorrow. ln our private life we do not know what tomorrow holds for us and for our loved ones; joy, prosperity, bankruptcy, sickness or even death. The future is not revealed for people and it is fact, it is reality, it is true, nobody can contradict it, nobody can say otherwise.

Two thousand years ago Jesus Christ said: " And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come". Mat. 24:14.

Jesus Christ, Son of God, pronounced these words when the gospel was not even written yet. Today our eyes see, our own ears hear the fulfillment of His words and prophecy. Today the gospel is preached everywhere, all over the world, in the churches, on streets, on the radio, TV, Internet, Facebook, you tube and so forth. Today the Holy Bible is translated into almost every language that is spoken on planet earth. And Jesus' words echo through high mountains and deep valley, large crowded cities and small quiet villages, vast wilderness and spacious coasts of the oceans. His word reaches west and east, north and south. His words echo throughout the whole universe for thousands of years and they will echo until He returns for His precious Bride-the Church. Nobody is able to stop His words. There is no power, no ` authority to silence His message, because it is written:

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.” l\/lat. 24:35. lt is fact, it is reality. Nobody can contradict it, nobody can say otherwise, because it is true.

Dear Atheist, how could an ordinary man (as you asserted with such a great power that Jesus was) know what will be today, after two thousand years? How could an ordinary man foresee that today millions of pastors, preachers, evangelists will be preaching the gospel all over this planet? How could an ordinary man know that millions of people will listen to His words, will become His followers, newborn Christians? Can you answer this question? Would you please think this over and over very deeply and find the correct answer. At first, please answer it to yourself and then to the entire word!

On the pages of the Holy Bible Jesus Christ was named the Word: ” He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called the Word of God". Rev. 19:13.

"ln the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us". Jan1:1-3+13-14.

So Jesus Christ was called The Word, The word of God. And today the Word of God has been preached and heard all over this planet earth. Today, in the 21" century The Word of God is alive and active. Since the Word of God is alive and active, Jesus Christ is alive and active also. The fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecy, Jesus’ prediction, Jesus' words are irrefutable proof of His existence. lt is fact, it is reality, nobody can contradict it, nobody can say otherwise, because it is true. Yes! Jesus Christ is alive and active today in the 21” century, and His invitation is in effect.

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and l will give you rest”. Mat. 11:28.

"Behold, l stand at the door and knock. lf anyone hears My voice and opens the door, l will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me". Rev. 3:20.

"Most assuredly, l say to you, he who hears my word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life". John 5:24. Jesus Christ never forces anyone to follow Him, but His love and sacrifice attracts millions of people to be His followers.

Dear Atheist, what explanation do you have from your scientific point of view for this fact, for this reality? Can you answer this question how did Jesus Christ know the future? But if you do not have any explanation for this truth, you cannot answer this simple question of life, you will kill and bury evolution by your own hands for ever and ever. There will be no evolution on this planet earth anymore. So, would you please try hard to defend your statement, otherwise you will be defeated completely.
